Poesia del Sole

by Judy Lesko

I long to touch the moon,

and warm his chilly glow.

Capricious moods,

hold light and dark,

waxing red, blood-orange bright.

He floats revealing nothingness,

in silent, steady course

forever watches,

forever waits.

Reflection of the solar light

lost in undulating waves,

tumescent seas of unquenched fire.

If I could breach the distant moon,

I would forsake the stars.

Thank you, but sometimes I do write poems, gasp, abound with cliches about nature. Remind me to post one. Maybe my Ode to a Sequioa.
Seriously, thank you for all your comments. You’re so very fun : )
